Fulham have agreed a deal with Sutton United for striker Stefan Payne. The 18-year-old only moved to Gander Green Lane from Croydon in the summer, but he has impressed with nine goals in 14 games already this season. A host of clubs have been tracking Payne, but Fulham have now agreed terms on a deal worth around £25,000. As part of the transfer, Payne will remain on loan at Sutton until January. Payne is now undergoing a medical with The Cottagers ahead of the deal being confirmed. "Fulham tend to do more than just a straight medical. The deal is all agreed, it is just a case of Stefan getting through the tests," said Sutton boss Paul Doswell. "As with all these things everything has got to be right for the player and the clubs concerned."
