Fulham flop in Malmo link

Swedish club Malmo are showing an interest in Fulham striker Eddie Johnson, who is currently on loan at Cardiff City.[LNB] Johnson joined Fulham 12 months ago from Kansas City Wizards, but has yet to score in English football.[LNB]He is on a season-long loan at Cardiff, but has started just three games in the Championship, while the signings of Michael Chopra and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie could limit his opportunities further.[LNB]Reports now claim that Malmo are keen to sign the USA international on loan in a deal which would see his time at Cardiff cut short.[LNB]The 24-year-old's agent Richard Motzkin has confirmed that he has travelled to Malmo, who are one of Fulham manager Roy Hodgson's former clubs.[LNB]Motzkin told Eurosport.se: "I have been in Malmo, but I have no further comments."[LNB]Malmo are looking to replace Ola Toivonen, who has joined PSV Eindhoven, although the club would not be drawn on any interest in Johnson.[LNB]Sporting director Hasse Borg said: "I might have heard of the player and his name."[LNB]
