Fulham Deny Schwarzer Transfer Request Claims

11 August 2010 12:11
Fulham have denied reports that Mark Schwarzer has handed in a transfer request. There has been speculation all summer linking the Fulham No. 1 to Arsenal with Arsene Wenger supposedly raising a bid for the goalkeeper from £2 million to £4 million. Mark Hughes has underlined his commitment to hold onto the Austrailian 'keeper on several occassions. Hughes supposedly rejected Wenger's first bid of £2 million. However, news broke this morning that Schwarzer had requested a transfer to force a move to Arsenal. Fulham have put a stop to the rumours by confirming, 'The club has not received a transfer request from Mark Schwarzer'. Schwarzer is under contract with the club until the summer of 2011.
