Fulham 3 Blackpool 0: Mark Hughes confident of survival

Fulham manager Mark Hughes believes his team will have no problem staying in the Barclays Premier League if they continue performing like they did in the win over Blackpool.[LNB]Bobby Zamora's two goals and a Dickson Etuhu effort helped the Londoners to a comfortable 3-0 victory, continuing their impressive recent form at Craven Cottage.[LNB]Fulham have secured five victories in their past six games and the latest win helped propel them up to 10th in the Premier League standings.[LNB] Confident of survival: Mark Hughes was delighted with Fulham's win over Blackpool[LNB]While the Cottagers lie just three points shy of Everton in seventh spot, they also lie a mere six points above West Ham and the final relegation spot.[LNB]Despite this, Hughes believes the only was is up for his side and does not think they will drop down the table.[LNB]'It is not done and dusted until you get the points and mathematically you can't go down,' he said. 'There is always a little bit of a worry.[LNB]'But I have to say, in terms of what we are producing and how we played in the last two or three months after Christmas, I don't have any concerns.[LNB]'I think the quality of our performance will allow us to pick up more points from now until the end of the season and that will certainly be enough for us to be safe.[LNB]'But until you actually get enough on the board you can never say never.'[LNB]Hughes insisted in the post-match press conference that the result only reinforced his view that Fulham are a 'top 10 side' and that the performance can act as a catalyst for the rest of the season.[LNB]'We've never wavered from that view and obviously tonight we're in that position,' he said.[LNB] Bobby's back: Bobby Zamora celebrates with his team-mates after scoring[LNB]'We're something like three points from seventh. It's possible we can really establish ourselves from now until the end of the season in that top half.[LNB]'And that's what we anticipated we would do this season and obviously we lost key personnel, Bobby being the main one in that respect, and that hampered our season.[LNB]'But we've been really, really strong and accomplished in the second half of the season, which I knew we would be.[LNB]'I think I have sat in front of you and said the same to you. The players are really progressing as a group.[LNB]'They are really receptive and really getting the job at the moment. And that's all you can ask.'[LNB]Blackpool, meanwhile, are deep in relegation trouble and languish in 17th spot, with just a point separating them from the drop zone.[LNB]Tangerines boss Ian Holloway admitted he would 'crack the whip' in a bid to turn things around and was shocked that his players' heads dropped after conceding.[LNB]'We got promoted on the strength that we didn't care about someone scoring because we were going to go and score,' he said.[LNB] 'Crack the whip': Ian Holloway was not happy with Blackpool's performance[LNB]'And if you look at the play-offs my lads were magnificent. We let goals in, it didn't matter. We equalised, went in front, it didn't matter.[LNB]'Today it looked like 'oh, deary me'.[LNB]'They were devastated against Man United at home, where we should have got a penalty but we didn't get one. That would have been 3-0 but they didn't get that and they went on to score three.[LNB]'It has just been like that but they have to realise how well they have done and keep their energy high.[LNB]'Maybe that run-in we had last year has taken its toll on the likes of Charlie (Adam) and (David) Vaughan.[LNB]'But mentally we have got to be strong and that is what I will be looking at.[LNB]'I'll be showing them how well they've done, how well they can do and even today look at the possession, which I thought we were terrific at times.[LNB]'But it's all good having a dance around but you need to knock them out and we didn't really look like that.'[LNB] Go to hell... or Chelsea!
