Fulham 2-0 Wigan: Report

30 October 2010 17:31

Clint Dempsey struck twice as Fulham avoided a third successive Barclays Premier League defeat to beat Wigan 2-0 to rocket up the table.

Dempsey took his tally for the season to five with both goals arriving in the first half of an encounter dominated by Mark Hughes' side.

It was Wigan's first defeat in seven games and they appeared lethargic, hardly troubling goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer throughout the 90 minutes.
