Fulham, with ambitions fixed on Europe, and Wolverhampton Wanderers, virtually assured of top-flight survival, served up a predictable stalemate at Craven Cottage. [LNB]Roy Hodgson's side, who are preparing for a Europa League semi-final in Hamburg on Thursday, came closest when Bobby Zamora clipped a post midway through the second half. But Wolves showed the greater industry and fully deserved their share of the spoils. Fulham supporters, with eyes fixed firmly on their continental mission, retorted with: 'We're all going on a European tour'. [LNB]On pitch it was rather less boisterous, with an end-of-term feel pervading long stretches of the game. Fulham's best early chances fell to Zoltan Gera, who first failed to control Danny Murphy's through ball when in a promising position, then seeing a blast blocked by Christophe Berra. [LNB]At the other end, Ronald Zubar, Wolves' adventurous right-back, induced Aaron Hughes into an undignified clearance of a threatening cross, and soon after found his radar adrift when slashing yards wide after the ball had dropped for him just outside the penalty area. [LNB]Kevin Doyle worked an opening in the Fulham area but was unable to angle the ball back sufficiently from a tight position. The visitors ended the half in some kind of ascendancy, well ahead on corner count at least. Fulham's attacking impact was limited to Zamora's clattering of Berra that brought the home striker a yellow card. [LNB]Fulham should have gone in front just after the hour mark when Damien Duff broke clear of the Wolves rearguard, but then attempted to double back inside George Elokobi, with the ball bouncing away off the defender's legs. [LNB]Fulham were stirring, however, and moments later Zamora unleashed a 20-yard screamer that flicked off a Wolves post. [LNB]Fulham defender Chris Smalling's header looped on to the top of the Wolves goal-netting 15 minutes from the end and Gera was just too high in the closing stages but this was not a day for either goalkeeper to be over-exercised.[LNB]
