Dickson Etuhu is relishing the attacking freedom he has been given by new Fulham manager Mark Hughes.[LNB] The Nigeria international was used by former boss Roy Hodgson as a defensive midfielder and he has only scored twice in 65 appearances for Fulham.[LNB]But Hughes has given Etuhu licence to get forward and he was only denied a goal against Manchester United at the weekend by a brilliant double save from Edwin van der Sar.[LNB]Etuhu told fulhamfc.com: "I used to be more of a box-to-box player before I came to Fulham, but Roy wanted me to sit in front of the defence more.[LNB]"This manager, though, is encouraging me to drive forward a bit more and it's working really well.[LNB]"Hopefully now you'll start seeing me score a few goals."[LNB]Fulham produced an impressive performance to seal a deserved 2-2 draw against United and Etuhu insists they must show the same urgency against Port Vale in the Carling Cup on Wednesday night.[LNB]"The Port Vale game is an opportunity for us to do well - it will be a tough game like it always is in the cup, but we'll approach it professionally," said Etuhu.[LNB]Fulham could include new signings Rafik Halliche, the Algerian World Cup defender, and Belgian striker Moussa Dembele.[LNB]Halliche completed his move from Benfica on Tuesday and said: "I'm so happy that my transfer to Fulham has been finalised.[LNB]"For me, the Premier League is the best league in the world and to be able to play alongside some wonderful players and to be given an opportunity to compete against some fantastic teams for a team like Fulham is something that I've always dreamed of doing."[LNB]Halliche has won 20 caps for Algeria and played every minute of their World Cup campaign in South Africa, including the goalless draw with England in Cape Town.
