English interest in Simunic

Hertha Berlin central defender Josip Simunic is a target for several clubs in England, according to the player's agent.

The 31-year-old Croatia international is certain to leave the German club after a clash with coach Lucien Favre and is rumoured to be wanted by the likes of Fulham and Sunderland.

Simunic's agent, Gordon Stipic, told Bild: "For me, it is clear that Simunic must leave.

"There is no basis for co-operation and the decision is non-negotiable. The reason is the behaviour of Hertha coach Lucien Favre.

"There is interest from England, Spain and Germany, but I will not name the clubs."
