Elm nears future resolution

Kalmar have intimated that Rasmus Elm's protracted transfer saga could be concluded in the next seven days. Sweden international Elm has been linked with a move away from Kalmar this summer, with a host of clubs said to be interested in his services. Premier League duo Fulham and Everton have both been mooted as suitors but reports claim the midfielder could seek a switch elsewhere as he looks to guarantee first-football. "It's leaning towards that something will happen in the coming week," Kalmar's sporting director, Svante Samuelsson, told Expressen. "We have turned down a few earlier bids, now we'll see if there will be any new." Bayer Leverkusen are allegedly the frontrunners to land Elm while AZ Alkmaar are reportedly keen.
