Fulham have been rocked by the news that influential midfielder Simon Elliott could be sidelined until the end of March.
The 32-year-old New Zealand international has not played for the Cottagers so far this term after picking up a calf injury in pre-season.
He recently returned to training but has now sustained an Achilles problem, to boss Chris Coleman's concern.
"Simon Elliott has had a setback and he'll be out for another three or four months," Coleman told the club's official website.
"He had a twist in his Achilles tendon and unfortunately he'll miss the majority of the season."
Elliott moved to Craven Cottage in January and made 14 appearances for the club last season.
