Dikgacoi close to Fulham deal

Kagisho Dikgacoi has revealed that his long awaited transfer to Fulham could finally be completed by the end of the week. The midfielder was close to joining the Cottagers last summer but the deal fell through because of work permit issues. Dikgacoi, 24, then saw hopes of arriving at Craven Cottage in January dashed, but he is now set to fly to England to complete his medical. The Golden Arrows captain starred in all five of South Africa's Confederations Cup games this summer and reportedly attracted interest from Portsmouth. However it now seems Dikgacoi is set to sign for Roy Hodgson's men and realise his dream of playing abroad. "I'm going there before the end of the week for physical assessment and I think I will finally play for Fulham," he told the Sowetan. "I have worked hard with Bafana and I'm fit. I was supposed to have joined Fulham during the January transfer window but I did not meet some of the requirements to play in the English Premiership. "It has been my wish to play abroad and like any other player I'm over the moon at the possibility of achieving my goal."
