Fulham have confirmed American ace Clint Dempsey has extended his contract until the summer of 2013. Dempsey was one of the Cottagers' stand-out performers last season, scoring seven Premier League goals from 35 appearances. Now the 26-year-old, who only extended his deal until 2010 last summer, has committed himself to the West Londoners for the next four seasons. Dempsey joined Fulham in January 2007 and made himself a firm fans' favourite after scoring the all-important goal that retained their top-flight status against Liverpool that season. During the close season he played a pivotal role in the United States' recent Confederations Cup success - with goals against Egypt, Spain and Brazil helping guide his side to the runners-up spot.
