Crossley makes loan exit
08 Nov 2006 - 09:27:11
Fulham manager Chris Coleman has allowed veteran goalkeeper Mark Crossley to join Sheffield Wednesday on loan until January 2007.
The 37-year-old former Wales international has not played for the Cottagers this season after suffering an injury at the start of the campaign.
"I've worked hard to regain my fitness after a frustrating period," the ex-Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough shot-stopper told Fulham's official website.
"Having spoken to Chris Coleman I know that he wants me to get some games under my belt, so this is the best way for me to achieve that and I'm grateful to Sheffield Wednesday and Brian Laws for this opportunity.
"I'm looking forward to playing some football at a ground I know well, and then just seeing what happens in January."
Owls boss Laws added: "I'm delighted Fulham have allowed him out. I know Mark well, he's experienced and is a good organiser.
"He brings a work ethic and a calming influence to the team and is also a good passer of the ball."
