Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has been reunited with Brede Hangeland, after snapping up the Norway international defender from FC Copenhagen.
The 26-year-old, who played under Hodgson at FK Viking, has penned a contract that will keep him at Craven Cottage until the end of the 2010-11 campaign.
"I'm delighted to welcome Brede to Fulham and I think he'll prove to be a tremendous signing for us," Hodgson told the Cottagers' official website.
"I'm of course very familiar with his ability and am confident that he will help our defensive options and play an important part in the remaining games of this, as well as the following seasons."
Hangeland played a key part in FC Copenhagen's Champions League campaign last term, featuring in the shock victories against Manchester United and Celtic.
Meanwhile, Fulham hope to complete the signing of Marlon King before the Premier League clash with Arsenal after agreeing a transfer fee with Watford for the prolific striker.
