Fulham have failed in a £4million bid for coveted Watford striker Marlon King.
King, 27, has been in impressive form for the Hornets this season after finding the net 11 times.
However, the Championship promotion-hopefuls have no intention of selling the former Jamaica international.
King has scored 25 times in 65 appearances since joining the Hornets in a £500,000 deal two years ago from Nottingham Forest.
He started his career at Barnet and then joined Gillingham, before loan spells with Leeds United and Watford while with Forest.
"Fulham have made a bid for Marlon King," chief executive Mark Ashton told the club's official website.
"We have stated our position on Marlon. He is our leading goal scorer and one of the spearheads of our team.
"We have no need to sell him and neither do we want to."
