Cottagers concern Hodgson

Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has admitted to being a little concerned by his side's run of five consecutive defeats in the Premier League.

The Cottagers were beaten 2-0 on home turf by Aston Villa on Saturday, having lost their previous four games, all of which were away from home.

Hodgson told Sky Sports: "You can't be anything other than concerned when you've lost five consecutive games.

"There's only one answer to the question and that is yes we're concerned, but I've still got great faith and belief in the team.

"It's a bad period that we're going through which coincides with our worse ever spate of injuries and loss of many senior and important players to us.

"So I'm not particularly concerned for the long term-future, but it would be nice to get some players back and get a result, even if it is a fortunate result, which would break this sequence.

"I think losing six or seven players might be a part of the reason."
