Fulham are keeping tabs on Benfica full-back Maxi Pereira, according to reports in Portugal.
However, the 25-year-old insists he is concentrating on Benfica and his international ambitions.
It is understood Fulham were represented at Benfica's recent Europa League clash with BATE Borisov.
Benfica sources have confirmed a scout was present at the Stadium of Light, but admit this is a normal occurrence and insist they have not spoken with anyone connected with the West London club.
The player himself is looking to help Benfica challenge for the title, while also helping Uruguay qualify for the World Cup finals.
"Now my challenge is to win the title with Benfica," he said.
"And also I want to help my country in the last few qualifying matches for the World Cup."
