West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that the club are in talks with Fulham regarding Jonathan Greening. The Cottagers have been chasing the Baggies midfielder for some time and have already seen three bids knocked back. The latest of those was reported to have been around £4million, but West Brom were determined to hang on to their skipper at that stage. That stance has now been relaxed, though, with Di Matteo confirming that discussions have been re-opened and a sale could be pushed through in the next 48 hours. "Basically, the two clubs are negotiating so I didn't feel it was right for Jonno to be involved," the Italian coach told the club's official website following the Baggies' 3-2 victory at Peterborough on Tuesday. "His team-mates are fighting for a cause. Professional "He's been a great professional for us and I spoke to him before the game. "There has been a lot going on for him in the last five or six weeks but, once again, I have to emphasise he's been very good for us." Meanwhile, Di Matteo has also confirmed that West Brom have seen an offer accepted for Colo Colo defender Gonzalo Jara. The South American star is now set to discuss personal terms with the Baggies ahead of a proposed move to England. "He's a Chilean international and is a defensive player who can also play in midfield," added Di Matteo. "He will be able to cover various positions, which is good for me."
