    Coleman wants more

    17 May 2006 - 08:34:08

Fulham boss Chris Coleman is confident Jimmy Bullard will be the first of many new arrivals this summer.

The 27-year-old midfielder agreed to join Fulham from Wigan Athletic several weeks ago, but had to wait until Tuesday to put pen to paper on a four-year contract at Craven Cottage.

Coleman is pleased to have landed one of the stars of the Premiership season just finished and believes his arrival will help persuade other top players that the Cottagers have a bright future.

"I really am delighted to have got Jimmy so early on in this transfer window," he told the club's official website.

"It sends out a very positive message about our ambitions for the future, and the chairman and the board were instrumental in getting this deal done very quickly to make sure we got him.

"I'm hopeful there will be a lot more business during this window and that we will have a very productive summer to help us build and push on next season."
