Coleman calls for fight
11 Dec 2006 - 15:45:41
Fulham manager Chris Coleman has urged his players to stand up and be counted after a run of poor performances on their travels.
A 4-0 thumping at Liverpool set the alarm bells ringing for Coleman, following a 2-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers and a 3-1 defeat at Manchester City.
Coleman commented: "Up until three games ago we were very resilient on the road.
"In the last three games we have conceded three against Man City, two at Blackburn and four at Liverpool.
"It looks to me we have got Luis Boa Morte back and we have Claus Jensen fit and we are thinking we will score goals now.
"When we had those two missing and a makeshift team we came away from home saying 'right then, we have to do everything we can and more to get something out of this game'. That is why we got results.
"We have got quality back in our midfield positions now, but that doesn't mean we can take our foot off the gas.
"It doesn't mean when we go 1-0 down we fall to pieces. That is more disappointing than anything else."
