Bullard talk concerns Fulham
21 Aug 2008 - 15:05:42
Fulham boss Roy Hodgson claims he knows nothing about reports linking midfielder Jimmy Bullard with a move away from the club.
Bolton Wanderers have joined the queue of clubs reportedly interested in signing 29-year-old midfielder.
Wigan Athletic, Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland have all previously been linked with Bullard, who is now fully-fit following a lay-off of almost 18 months after suffering a dislocated kneecap.
But Hodgson claims none of the Cottagers' Premier League rivals have been in touch to discuss Bullard's availability.
Earlier in the month, Fulham turned down a request from the midfielder to discuss extending his contract.
"Neither myself nor (managing director) Alistair Mackintosh have recently been contacted by any club regarding Jimmy Bullard," he said.
"The only club I know that have made any contact, at least with myself, was Wigan maybe five weeks ago.
"I find it strange that Jimmy is being linked with moves in the press when no clubs are making offers for him.
"It bothers me what's going on behind the scenes here, because certainly we aren't receiving any bids.
"Jimmy has told me he's happy to get his head down and stay, so I don't understand what's going on."
Meanwhile, Hodgson has confirmed that he expects David Healy to join Sunderland after granting the Northern Ireland striker permission to speak to the Wearside club.
