Brown move talks continue

Fulham manager Lawrie Sanchez has confirmed that talks are still in progress over midfielder Michael Brown's proposed move to Wigan Athletic.

The 30-year-old schemer is not with the rest of the Cottagers squad on their pre-season tour of Hong Kong, with Sanchez still expecting a deal to be completed in the near future.

He commented: "There are still ongoing discussions with Wigan.

"Michael's the club captain and still is at this moment in time, but we had an offer that we felt was a good offer and what he could get somewhere else at this moment of his career is better than what he could get here, also came into consideration.

"He's from that part of the world anyway.

"All those factors came together and we said we'd be willing to accept that money if he wanted to go, so the ball's very much in his court."
