Fulham loanee Wayne Bridge has made a quickfire recovery from an ankle injury and could be fit in time to face Everton this weekend.

The 25-year-old Chelsea left-back was injured during England's 2-1 friendly win over Uruguay ten days ago and was expected to be out for several weeks with a sprained ankle.

However, Cottagers assistant boss Steve Kean told Sky Sports News: "Wayne Bridge has got a good chance, which is great news.

"When he first got injured in the England game we thought it would be a number of weeks, but he's progressed and pushed himself really hard. He's got a good chance.

"The way he has got himself through the rehabilitation is another feather in his cap."

Bridge has made five appearances for Fulham since joining the club on loan until the end of the season.
