Wayne Bridge could make a rapid return to first-team action for Fulham in this weekend's Premiership clash against
Everton.
The on-loan Chelsea left-back sprained an ankle while representing England in last week's friendly international success against Uruguay.
Bridge was stretchered from the pitch and there were initial fears that he had suffered a serious injury that would sideline him for the rest of the season.
However, the Cottagers head physio, Jason Palmer, told the club's official website: "Wayne Bridge has made exceptional progress from a sprained ankle.
"He is now back in training. His availability for the Everton game will be subject to a fitness test."
Meanwhile, Papa Bouba Diop could be fit for Wednesday's Premiership clash with Liverpool after recovering well from a foot injury.
Michael Brown has returned to training after suffering a hamstring strain during the defeat against Manchester United and Antti Niemi should be ready to return for the match against Chelsea later this month.
