Arsenal defender Kolo Toure in talks with Manchester City
ARSENAL are set to launch a bid for Fulham defender Brede Hangeland as they look to replace Kolo Toure.[LNB]Toure is in talks with Manchester City, who appear to have accepted defeat in their efforts to sign Chelsea's John Terry.[LNB]And the Ivory Coast star?s £15m departure to Eastlands will trigger a big-money move for Hangeland, who has been admired by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger for some time.[LNB]The Norway captain has proved a huge hit at Craven Cottage since his £2.5m signing from FC Copenhagen in January 2008.[LNB] Fulham boss Roy Hodgson recently admitted the 28-year-old was "mulling over" the offer of a new contract.[LNB]But he knows he has a fight on his hands to keep the centre-half if Arsenal make a huge bid. Toure?s switch to City is set to follow hot on the heels of Emmanuel Adebayor's £25m move to Manchester nine days ago.[LNB]And the Togo striker admits he is keen to be quickly reacquainted with his old colleague, who was signed by Wenger for a bargain £150,000 in 2002.[LNB]Adebayor said: "We all know how good Kolo Toure is and I think the club need one more good defender like him. [LNB]"He has been playing in the Premier League for seven years and if we managed to get him he can do a good job. We all hope that it comes soon."[LNB]While the Toure deal would represent good business by Arsenal, the club?s fans will be concerned by the idea of selling two key players to a club like City, who will be trying to finish above the Gunners in the race for a Champions League place next year.[LNB]Are you a worried Arsenal fan?
