Another Injury Blow

Roy Hodgson has confirmed Kagisho Dikgacoi picked up an ankle injury in Saturday's 0-0 draw with Bolton Wanderers. It is unclear how long the South Africa international will be out for but the Cottagers boss does not expect him back any time soon. "I fear that our injury toll will worsen because I do not see Dikgacoi playing for a while," Hodgson told the Fulham Chronicle. The knock is expected to keep Dikgacoi out of action for up to six weeks. Hodgson has also been without Paul Konchesky, John Paintsil, Zoltan Gera, Clint Dempsey, Simon Davies, Andy Johnson and Bobby Zamora in recent weeks but hopes some of those could return for the visit of Burnley on Tuesday.He added: "I can only hope we get one of Davies, Gera or Zamora back because we are running very short on players." After Dikgacoi had been substituted, defender Chris Smalling was brought on as an emergency striker, emphasising the injury crisis at Craven Cottage.
