Angry Hodgson attacks Russian visa system ahead of Europa League clash

Roy Hodgson has revealed his anger over not being permitted to watch Amkar Perm due to Russian visa restrictions. The Fulham boss wanted to run the rule over the club's Europa League play-off opponents in action against CSKA Moscow. But the 62-year-old was forced to abandon his scouting trip because the necessary documents would have taken too long to come through. Frustrated that he has to prepare his side for the unknown, Hodgson said: 'I have strong opinions on this. 'When countries are going to play in European competitions, there should be special rules for football teams entering that country. 'We've based our team talks and our impressions of Perm on three videos which we've edited and cut and put together.' Hodgson is expected to stick with the same starting XI that beat Portsmouth 1-0 on the opening day of the Premier League season for the first leg Craven Cottage clash. But new £4m signing Damien Duff could make his Fulham debut should Hodgson call upon the Republic of Ireland international from the substitutes bench.
