Albion keeping fingers crossed

West Brom hope to find out in the next 24 hours if they have been successful in their bid to sign midfield duo David Vaughan and Zoltan Gera.[LNB] Albion have offered terms to Vaughan and Gera, who are available on free transfers after the end of their contracts at Blackpool and Fulham respectively.[LNB]Vaughan has been offered a new contract by Blackpool but wants to remain in the Premier League.[LNB]The 28-year-old is believed to favour a move to Albion but is also considering an offer from Sunderland.[LNB]Gera has already spent four years with the Baggies before moving to Fulham in the summer of 2008.[LNB]The Hungarian international could be reunited with current Albion head coach Roy Hodgson, who signed him for the Cottagers.[LNB]Meanwhile, Baggies defender Gonzalo Jara will miss the start of pre-season training when the players report back on Monday.[LNB]Jara has been included in Chile's squad for the Copa America.[LNB]
