Everton striker Andrew Johnson is poised to leave Merseyside to join Fulham in a deal rumoured to be worth well in excess of £10million.
The 27-year-old England international is thought to favour a move back to the capital for family reasons and has been omitted from the Toffees squad for their pre-season tour of the USA.
Johnson also sat out a friendly against Preston North End last week to stir renewed rumours of a move away from Goodison Park.
Everton chief executive Keith Wyness said after the Deepdale omission: "Contrary to some media reports that have surfaced, the club can confirm that no offer has been received.
"Neither has any deal been agreed for Andrew Johnson with Fulham Football Club."
Johnson moved to Merseyside in the summer of 2006 for £8.6million from Crystal Palace and has gone on to score 22 goals in 74 appearances for the Toffees.
