Hungary midfielder Zoltan Gera was a target for a number of clubs across Europe, before he opted to leave West Bromwich Albion to join Fulham.
The 29-year-old turned down the offer of a new contract from Albion to move to Craven Cottage, having spent four seasons with the Baggies.
Gera's agent, Vladan Filipovic, told Nemzeti Sport: "There were lots of false reports, but it's true that we received many detailed offers.
"Benfica, Celtic and Olympiacos were all interested and Valencia, Mallorca and Werder Bremen made an approach to sign him too.
"But Zoltan Gera wanted to play in England. Although a couple of Premier League teams showed interest, Fulham seemed to be the ideal choice.
"It's a club with a great history and great aims for the following years and they think Zoltan can help them with their future successes."
