Three offers for Freiburg's want-away Cisse

Freiburg admitted Tuesday there are three offers for Senegal striker Papiss Cisse who is desperate to leave the German league side with the transfer window set to close on August 31.

The 26-year-old has scored four of Freiburg's six goals in three league games this season and netted 22 goals in 32 league games last term, but says he is now desperate to play for a more successful club.

With a price tag of 15 million euros, three clubs are now circling for the African, Freiburg's director of sport Dirk Dufner has admitted, without naming the trio.

"I want to leave," Cisse told German radio station SWR.

"I hope that this happens before August 31, I want to try to play at a different level."

The offers were not slow to arrive.

"Things have been shaken up today," Dufner told German sport's channel Sport1 on Tuesday evening.

"We now have three offers on the table. They will be examined closely."

The Senegal international is under contract until 2014 and Freiburg are in no hurry to sell their main goal-scorer who has hit 32 goals in 51 games since joining them in 2010 from French side Metz.

Cisse's tally of 22 goals last season is all the more impressive as it is just over half of the 41 Freiburg scored in their entire league campaign.

Freiburg chairman Fritz Keller says he has no problems with Cisse trying to seek a transfer elsewhere -- as long as he keeps scoring goals.

"We are all still pretty calm, the boy has been doing a little in-house advertising, that's legitimate," said Keller.

"As long as he is scoring goals for us, then things are all very well."
