France defender Lilian Thuram has hinted he could decide to retire after this summer's European Championship finals.
Thuram, 36, has endured a turbulent season with Barcelona where he has been singled out for criticism from unhappy supporters.
The veteran defender is out of contract at the Camp Nou at the end of the season and has suggested he may decide to hang up his boots following Euro 2008.
Thuram, who is expected to leave the ailing Catalan club after two disappointing seasons, has won 138 international caps for Les Blues.
"I have said my desire to play football was still there - now it must be seen in which conditions," he said.
"One day I want to continue my playing career, the next it is the opposite. In all honesty, I still haven't taken a decision about my future.
"Everything depends on the opportunities I am given."
