Jacquet - France hungry after poor build-up

France's 1998 World Cup-winning coach Aime Jacquet believes Les Bleus' disappointing build-up results could work in their favour at the World Cup.

Raymond Domenech's side went down 1-0 to China last Friday, after having come from behind to edge Costa Rica 2-1 and then being held to a 1-1 draw by Tunisia in their previous warm-up games.

But Jacquet insists such unconvincing form is not a cause for concern. Asked if he is worried, he told L'Equipe: "No. Paradoxically, I would say it is a very good thing. Players should be angry because of losing the third game, against China."

He added: "I tell you that (in their opening match) against Uruguay, their concentration will be twice as strong."
