French dealt double injury blow

France suffered a double blow on Monday ahead of two crucial Euro 2012 qualifiers as midfielders Franck Ribery and Blaise Matuidi were ruled out of both matches because of injury.

The duo will miss the Euro 2000 champions' final two qualifiers against Albania on Friday and the potential table-topping decider against Bosnia-Herzegovina next Tuesday.

The French are top of Group D one point ahead of the Bosnians with both having two matches remaining.

Romania are five points adrift of France but could nick top spot if they won both their matches and the other results went their way.
