FFF chief admits 'differences' over Blanc contract
French Football Federation (FFF) president Noel Le Graet admitted on Thursday that there was "a little difference over timing" concerning France coach Laurent Blanc's wish to sign a new contract before Euro 2012.
Le Graet would prefer to wait until after the tournament in Poland and Ukraine, but he told reporters at the FFF's headquarters that "the understanding between him (Blanc) and me is perfect".
"I want the France team to work well so much," said Le Graet, but added that "the best judge is the competition" -- suggesting that Blanc will only be granted a new deal if France perform impressively at Euro 2012.
Le Graet held talks with Blanc on Wednesday evening and said they had gone well.
"We laughed a few times, on other subjects it was more tense," he said.
"There are a few differences but that's how things go between a boss and his employee. The question of the contract concerns him and me.
"There's no conflict. I have a high regard for him. We discuss things in a very amiable manner."
France, currently ranked 15th in FIFA's world ranking, were drawn in Group D at Euro 2012 alongside England, Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine.
