Euro 2012 Qualifiers: C and D

07 October 2011 16:02
France are another continental heavyweight on the verge of clinching qualification and they know a win against Group D outsiders Albania at the Stade de France will leave them needing just a point against Bosnia-Herzegovina at the same venue next Tuesday to be sure of first place.

A slip-up by the French -- traditionally a powerhouse who have endured their fair share of setbacks in recent times -- cannot be ruled out, although the drama is set to be greater elsewhere.

Group C winners Italy endured a comfortable qualifying campaign, elsewhere in the group Serbia need to win just one of their remaining two games to make the play-offs. A slip up could let in Estonia or Slovenia
