Draw a fair result - Blanc

France manager Laurent Blanc admitted that a share of the points was the right outcome after Les Bleus' 1-1 draw with England.

England started brightly and were rewarded as Joleon Lescott nodded home the opening goal on 30 minutes, but the goal sparked France into life with Samir Nasri levelling the scores six minutes before the interval.

France were the more adventurous of the two sides in the second period but failed to break down a dogged England defence, leaving both teams with a point from their opening match, a fair result according to Blanc.

"It is a worthy draw for both sides," he said.

"It is not that bad a result. We should have scored the second even if we had only a few opportunities in the second-half."
