Domenech eyes a shock

01 Jul 2006 - 11:49:40

France coach Raymond Domenech admits that his side will have to be at their very best to have any chance of causing a shock in their World Cup quarter-final clash with Brazil.

A 3-1 victory over Spain in the last 16 earned Domenech's side a crack at Brazil in a repeat of the famous 1998 final, which Les Bleus won 3-0 on home soil.

However, Domenech is aware that Brazil are big favourites to go through, saying: "It's not easy to play Brazil.

"We will have to be at the top of our game if we are to have a chance.

"We have to have someone to muzzle Ronaldinho, someone to muzzle Kaka, one for Adriano, one for Cafu.

"Roberto Carlos and Ze Roberto are not bad either and for free-kicks we will have to look at their defenders who are good in the air.

"We have everything under control - it's a plan to muzzle 13 or 14 players. But saying it is one thing, doing it another."
