Alou Diarra is set to anchor France's midfield against England on Monday.

The 30-year-old Marseille player hurt his knee in the early stages of France's 4-0 friendly win over Estonia on Tuesday but played on until the 65th minute, when he was replaced by Laurent Koscielny.

He sat out training in Donetsk on Thursday but took part in Friday's session and has declared himself fit to face Roy Hodgson's men.

"I'm feeling much better," he told reporters at a press conference.

"I barely feel any pain and I trained normally on Friday. I think that in 24 hours' time, I won't feel anything."

Diarra is expected to deputise for the injured Yann M'Vila.
