France defender Eric Abidal, who is recovering from a liver transplant, has been invited to watch his side's match against Sweden at Euro 2012 in Kiev next Tuesday.
'I've invited Eric,' French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet told journalists here on Wednesday.
"We've planned a trip if his doctors allow it. He'll leave Barcelona on the morning of the match to come to Kiev and will stay with us in the evening before returning the day after.
"He's recovering at home but as soon as he felt better, he wanted to make the trip."
The Barcelona left-back, 32, underwent a liver transplant on April 10, having previously had a tumour removed from the same organ a year earlier.
