Allan signing boosts Forfar

Forfar have added Hibs striker Lewis Allan on loan ahead of the visit of Stenhousemuir with Kevin Nicoll also available as his suspension from midweek will be served in next season's Petrofac Cup.

Nicoll was dismissed in the 3-0 defeat to Dunfermline in midweek, which saw Forfar play for an hour with ten men, and the one-match ban is meant for Petrofac cup matches.

Mark Baxter is also included after he shrugged off a knock, with manager Dick Campbell saying: "We were disappointed with the result, however I acknowledge that Dunfermline played well.

"Stenhousemuir had a great result in midweek when they defeated Raith Rovers so we are in for a tough contest. I could freshen my side up as they will be coming here full of confidence."

Stenhousemuir are without Anthony Marenghi (injured ankle) and Kieran Millar (broken nose) as they look to build on their wins over Airdrie and Raith Rovers in their last two games.

Manager Brown Ferguson said: "Forfar are a very strong side who have done consistently well in this league for a few seasons.

"However we are going there with a spring in our step after defeating Airdrie as well as putting in a really competitive performance that defeated Raith.

"We scored a couple of cracking goals against them as well in what was a terrific performance from a part time side against a full time one."
