Forfar to test duo

Forfar will give Stephen Tulloch and Danny Dehholm fitness tests ahead of the visit of unbeaten league leaders Queen of the South.

The Loons are already without Odmar Faeroe and Keith Gibson following recent knee surgery so boss Dick Campbell will hope to have the duo available.

Campbell's side returned to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-2 success over Stenhousemuir to end a run of three defeats and the Forfar manager now has the league leaders in his sights.

He said: "It was good to win again especially as we let a two-goal lead slip.

"I am not happy with the goals we are conceding but if can get one more than Queen of the South I will be delighted and so will all the clubs that are chasing them."

Queen of the South are without striker Kevin Smith as they look to open up a nine-point lead in the Second Division.

Smith is needing match practice after recovering from a groin injury that has kept him out for three months.

But that is the only absentee for player-manager Allan Johnston, who has a selection headache of the right kind as his side faces a demanding spell.

"This is a huge period for us as we are playing three teams that will be in the promotion hunt in a row," he said. "It began well when we won at Arbroath but we now have Forfar away and then Ayr.

"We have players that are desperate to start and some of them will get an opportunity at Forfar. I am going to change things to keep it fresh."
