Four fit for Forfar as bottom side Brechin visit Station Park

Forfar have welcomed back a quartet of players in time for the visit of Brechin on Saturday.

Fit-again Kevin Nicol, Danny Denholm, Michael Dunlop and Martyn Fotheringham are all back in Dick Campbell's squad - but Michael Travis is out with a knee injury and Lewis Allan is struggling to be in contention.

With a heavy defeat last time out, Campbell is keen to get back to winning ways against League One's bottom side.

"We lost 4-0 to Dunfermline last weekend, however we cannot be too down-heartened by that as we played well particularly in the first half," he said.

"We missed chances at key times and that cost us as Dunfermline were not so kind. If we can show a ruthless side to our game against Brechin I am sure that we can get back to winning ways."

Meanwhile Brechin are without striker Dene Shields, who has been ruled out with a knee injury while Robert Thomson is also a doubt.

Manager Darren Dods is looking to bring Isaac Layne in on loan from Alloa to help out before kick-off after seeing his side drop to the foot of the table following defeat at Albion Rovers.

"We never got going in that game until it was far too late. When we got them pinned back in the closing stages we lacked a cutting edge so I am looking for us to be ready from the first whistle," he said.
