Paterson a miss for Loons

Forfar will be without the suspended Jim Paterson when out of sorts Ayr United visit Station Park.

Derek Young remains out with a knee injury but Mark Baxter returns, with manager Dick Campbell warning his side to be wary of the Honest Men.

Campbell said: "Ayr have had a bad run recently and they will be upset by that. They will be going all out to bring it to an end.

"They will be wounded by criticism and that makes them very dangerous opponents. They beat us down at their place so a win to end our own sticky spell would be great."

Ayr have brought in Adam Cummings on loan from Motherwell to help cover for an injury crisis that could see seven players missing.

Kevin McKinlay and Nicky Devlin are out with knee injuries, Martyn Campbell is missing with a groin complaint and shoulder problems rule out Michael Donald and Peter Murphy. Trialist Kevin Rutkiewicz and Paul Slane are also carrying knocks.

"We are again short of bodies however if we play like they did against Peterhead in the second half last week then I will be pleased," said manager Mark Roberts.

"We had a good home win over Forfar and a repeat of that would be terrific."
