Duo back for Loons

Forfar have received a double boost as they look for the victory against Arbroath that would keep alive their faint promotion hopes.

Manager Dick Campbell has fit-again skipper Gavin Swankie and Jamie McCluskey both available for Saturday's game.

Ahead of the fixture, Campbell said: "We have to win it is as simple as that. We need other teams to lose and if they do it would be very disappointing not to have taken full advantage and cut the gap down to two points.

"This game will have a real edge to it as not only are we local rivals but we could actually relegate Arbroath. I simply want us to get the three points and hopefully be back in the play-off chase."

Kevin Nicoll is suspended for Arbroath as they look to keep their relegation fight alive.

Connor Birse is also out with a knee problem but Alan Cook will feature despite nursing an ankle injury.

"All I can ask the boys to do is to keep playing as well as they have been recently," said Arbroath player/manager Paul Sheerin.

"Things clicked together against Stranraer last week and we earned a 4-2 win and it would be great to do the same again at Forfar.

"Forfar will want to win as they have a bit of work to do to reach the play-offs. For us it is simpler - we have to win."
