Forfar hit by triple whammy

Forfar have been hit with a triple suspension blow for their home game against Airdrie as Iain Campbell, Michael Dunlop and Mark McCulloch are all sitting out bans.

Loons boss Dick Campbell is hoping Darren Dods and Paul McManus will be fit, but Keith Gibson remains sidelined with a knee injury and Stuart Malcolm is doubtful after taking a knock in the 2-1 win over Rangers last Saturday.

Campbell said: "We're a bit short of numbers, however we're upbeat as I'm sure you can imagine.

"But it's back to reality against Airdrie and I don't want to come down with a bump."

Airdrie will be without John Boyle, who has a knee injury, Chris O'Neil is suspended.

Gregor Buchanan has recovered from his knee injury and has been added to the Diamonds squad, while manager Jimmy Boyle expects Forfar to be full of confidence.

Boyle said: "They'll be flying high after beating Rangers and rightly so as it was a terrific result.

"That makes a hard game even harder, but I'm confident we have players that can unsettle them.

"We'll go and have a go by attacking them and see where that takes us."
