Four for Forfar in rout

Forfar remain a point behind Scottish League One leaders Stranraer after a 4-0 victory at home to rock-bottom Stirling.

The visitors made a bright start and twice went close in the opening seven minutes, with Sandy Cunningham being denied by a last-ditch tackle when through on goal before Chris Smith was just wide from an Andy Stirling free-kick.

They were made to pay for not making the most of those opportunities when Forfar turned the match on its head with two goals in three minutes.

Dale Hilson grabbed the opener in the 20th minute when he lobbed Callum Reidford in the Stirling goal and Forfar quickly added a second through a Chris Smith own goal when the visitors failed to deal with Martyn Fotheringham's corner.

Omar Kader broke on the right and added the third in the 71st minute before Chris Templeman headed in the fourth at the near post late on.
