Malin at the double in Forfar triumph
Gavin Malin struck in either half as Forfar edged an enthralling game to defeat East Fife 3-2.
Forfar drew first blood after 20 minutes thanks to Malin, who unleashed an unstoppable 20-yard strike into the top corner.
But East Fife equalised a minute before the break in spectacular fashion themselves. Martyn Fotheringham was penalised for a foul and Robert Sloan produced a wonderful free-kick which found the bottom corner.
The home side restored their advantage just after half-time, though, thanks to Malin's rasping drive from outside the area.
East Fife levelled again after 79 minutes through Scott McBride's close-range header, but Forfar regained the lead three minutes later when Gavin Swankie swept in from six yards for his 13th goal of the season.
