Ross the boss for Forfar
Ross Campbell's goal 12 minutes from time proved decisive as Forfar held on for a 2-1 victory over Dumbarton.
Forfar took the lead after only five minutes when Darren Brady fired high into the net from close range.
Twenty minutes later Christopher Templeman missed the chance to double the lead as his header from Iain Campbell's corner drifted wide of the left-hand post.
It proved to be a costly miss as 10 minutes before half-time the visitors levelled the scores as Jon McShane struck with a free-kick from 20 yards out.
Campbell scored the winner 12 minutes from time for the Loons as he turned home Martyn Fotheringham's cross from the right to keep his side in fourth position in the league.
