Forfar too good for Pars

Two second-half goal in 15 minutes gave Forfar a 2-0 win over Dunfermline.

Dunfermline's Gozie Ugwu missed a good chance from close-range inside 10 minutes and Forfar's Chris Templeman struck from six-yards, forcing goalkeeper Ryan Scully into pulling off a fine save.

The Loons took the lead shortly before the hour-mark through Dale Hilson, who found space in the box, sending a tidy finish across goal and past Scully.

Forfar doubled their lead on 73 minutes after Darren Dods headed home James Dale's free-kick.

Faissal El Bakhtaoui went close to pulling one back for the visitors twice in two minutes. Strikes inside the box saw goalkeeper Rab Douglas brilliantly tip the ball past the post before holding onto the next.

The Pars' Michael Moffat hit the post three minutes from time and the Sky Blues continued to hold on for a clean sheet and their first win of the season after drawing at Stranraer on the opening day.
